Selection Process
The Scholarship committee that determines the scholarship winners consists of Band Booster parents of current RedmondHigh School non-senior band members. The Scholarship committee chairperson will screen each application package for eligibility based on the above criteria. This person codes the applications and letters of recommendation to insure anonymity. This allows for a blind review by the Scholarship committee. Results of the blind review are combined with Redmond High School Band Director input to determine scholarship award winners.
Selection Criteria
The Scholarship committee looks at three types of contributions the applicant has made:
1.
Redmond High School Band Program contributions (80%)*
2.
Redmond
High School
contributions (10%); and
3.
Community contributions (10%).
* Contributions to the Redmond High School Band Program may include musical achievement, participation, leadership, or inspiration.
