About the Redmond Mustang Band Boosters The Redmond Mustang Band Boosters are a non profit 501C organization dedicated to supporting the Redmond High School Mustang Band program. Members are all parents or legal guardians of students enrolled in the band at Redmond High School. The executive board consists of nine voting members including the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer as well as nine non-voting members including the Redmond High School Band Director and eight student representatives (band council members) of the Redmond High School Band. The Redmond High School Mustang Band program has long been one of the top music programs in the area. They represent our community in band festivals, at home football games and basketball games and state playoff games. The students dedicate significant time and energy to these programs, ensuring that Redmond is always well represented.
Meetings The activities of the Redmond Mustang Band Boosters make the band experience at RHS better for your student; please consider volunteering! Join us for a Booster meeting! We will meet in the keyboarding room (next door to the band room) at 7 PM on the following dates:
We would love to have you join us!
Scholarships The Redmond Mustang Band Boosters award three scholarships up to $700 each to graduating seniors. The scholarships are gifts and are not based on need. We encourage all seniors who are pursuing a higher education, including university or college, performing arts school, community college or vocational school - to apply for one of these scholarships. Forms and more details will be posted at a later date under the scholarship page.
Tailgates Boosters host a back to school barbeque and tailgates before each home football game and a couple of basketball games. This is a great opportunity for the band students to mingle and get to know one another. We are always looking for volunteers to help prepare part of the meal.
FundraisingBoosters facilitate fundraising to support the band program at Redmond High School. Fundraisers are designed for many purposes: to allow students to raise money toward their travel expenses, for the scholarship fund, to purchase uniforms, equipment, new instruments, refurbish existing instruments and more! In the last year we spent $3,000 to purchase Pep Band Jackets for the students to wear at the home football games, $5,000 to purchase a new xylophone and recondition two baritone saxophones, and several hundred dollars on concert uniforms.
